Machine Shop Services

HyVal Industries has an in-house full-service machine shop to support our government and commercial contract requirements. Our machines include four conventional lathes with swings from 10" to 16" with beds from 4-foot to 10-foot-long; two conventional 9" x 42" milling machines; one 10" x 49" CNC milling machine; one automatic bandsaw that handles stocks up to 10" in diameter; one 6"x12" manual surface grinder; one radial arm drill press; and multitude of keyway broaches, taps, Dies, and reamers on-hand.

HyVal Industries' cylinder honing capabilities range from 1 1/2" in diameter to 24" in diameters up to 22-foot long. We have a variety of stones that allow us to cut from soft to hard metals, including many sizes of couplings with keyways in them. HyVal has performed extensive honing projects on arresting gear cylinders for aircraft carriers, stern-gate cylinders on LSD and LPD Amphibious ships, dredge cylinders for the both commercial and Army Corps of Engineers vessels, and much more.

All the machine shop micrometers and dial indicators used for measuring at HyVal Industries are evaluated and calibrated on a regular basis and are part of the company quality system that meets ISO-9002 requirements. Our quality system is audited every 18–24 months by an outside activity.
